Kährs Lux Collection has received the Gold Award for “Best Flooring” in the House Beautiful Awards 2017. The prestigious consumer awards comprise 18 categories of excellence in home design, product design and retail, with Silver and Gold Awards presented for the runner-up and winner in each category.
Surpassing seven other short-listed finalists, Kährs received the Gold Award for the second time. The stunning Lux Collection, which features Kährs new ultra matt lacquer, is also a finalist in the FX International Interior Design Awards 2017.
Kährs Lux Collection includes seven one-strip wood floor designs, which create the look and feel of untreated, newly sawn wood. An ultra matt lacquer finish, which absorbs light and eliminates reflections, enhances the wood’s grain and tone in all light conditions; this makes the designs ideal for light filled interiors and for properties with “structural glazing“. The oak and ash designs span ethereal pearl and taupe tones, through to warm honey and chestnut shades, each with a subtle bevel along the plank edge. Lux can also be mixed-and-matched with designs from Kährs new Lumen Collection, which has a three-strip format and also features the new lacquer finish.
