Andrea Paoloni – Parquet Sartoriale

Can you describe your company in about 20 words?
Parquet Sartoriale means “Taylor floor”: we don’t have stock of finished wood floor but only oak boards of any size and tickness and we finish under speciafical request of our dealer, architect and customers. We treat and sell only French and Italian oak. Our production is a mix of hand made and industrial process.

What’s your ‘core business’?
Parquet Sartoriale is a new brand, but we are groowing very quickly: we are going to be a franchising, selling machines for finishing, the know how to finish parquet, reactive stains, oils, hard wax and coating products, finishing lacquers and of corse the wood we selected 100% made in Italy. Our project is to become a school for floor finishing and sell the cmplete project to parquet lyers and small flooring shops that want to develop their own range of products

What’s your strong point?
The more important difference beetween us and all other flooring companies is the 100% of customization of our production. That’s possible because our first business is the production of finishing machines for wooden floor that we sell all around the world: small smart coating lines that allows a production of around 300 square meters per day with a 100% of customization….we should also produce 10 different colored floors of 30 square meters per day! The know-how we developped with more than 60 different finishing products international companies is turned in our flooring business.

What’s your most important product?
We have 2 lines: “Tavole del montefeltro”, that are wire brushed large oak planks finished of any color the customer ask us or to our dealers. The first line, more expensive of course, is the “Tappeti di Legno” line, that means “Carpet of wood”, real destructured, aged and hand made surfaces of wood treated like sculptured floor in 5 different design.

What’s your export percentage? Which countries do you mainly export to?
At the moment we are concentrated in Italian market, but we are going to open some “100% made in Italy” shop in partnership with our international customers and dealer in Usa (Los Angelese – Beverly Hills), in Dubai with a tiles dealer that want to open a new wood line, and in Moscow. Those projects will be a new way to produce and sell finished oak floor in partnership with distributors: we will have a part on every shop and direct control on marketing decisions. And those first experience will open doors to new franchisers that want to work with us in the future.
